What is Customer Search?

The customer search function is most often used as part of the many other AIMsi features. Any time you access a feature that automatically displays the Pick Customer window you have the option to perform an advanced search of your customer catalog. You may do this when you create a sales invoice, purchase order, service ticket, a new student, a new consignment, or one of the many other features in AIMsi where you would select a customer account before completing the task.

The advanced customer search option allows you to search for customers based on a number of different values outside of the standard customer name or account number. For example, you may choose to search for a customer using a driver's license number, an email address, or an order number.

In addition to using the advanced customer search from the Pick Customer window, you may also choose to search for a customer directly by accessing the Customer Search window via the Customer menu options.
